The Detroit Metro Stars thank all the players for attending tryouts for the 2012 season. The Stars GOAL is to help each player at our tryout get better, Attend a Stars tryout and your player will be coached and go through a college showcase type tryout.

Learn To Hit – How The Pro’s Do: Available RVP Training
The Stars offer the most advanced hitting training using the Right View Pro Video Analysis software which is used by many teams in the Major Leagues and top Division One Baseball schools in the country. This advanced training will be provided by some of the States finest coaches, Shawn Maloney (Head Varsity Coach Warren Mott HS & 2012 17U Stars), Rich Koch (Head Varsity Coach Parkway Christian HS & 2012 14U Stars), Joe Emanuele (Head Varsity Coach Sterling Heights Stevenson) and Coach Joe Wolf of our 2011 Nationally ranked 15U Stars.
Throw with Velocity: Available HEAT Training
If you want your player to throw the baseball correctly and with more velocity Coach Wolf also offers HEAT Training. Highly Efficient Athletic Throw Training has been a part of the Stars training regimen for 6 years. The use of video and overload-underload ballistic training has been a large part of developing many Stars into Division 1 College Baseball prospects.
Off Season Team Training:
Team Training done at Extra Innings of Shelby : A State of the Art facility – where teams meet twice weekly beginning in January 2012.
Coaching Training:
The Stars Coaching Staff is committed to making your player the Best they can be. All Coaches in the Stars organization take the time to be a part of the Stars Coaching Clinic, which is led by Coaches Maloney, Wolf, Koch, DiCristofaro, Emanuele ( All HS Varsity Coaches) and Agemy (Freshman All American at University of Michigan), to share knowledge with all Stars Coaches. Coaches in the Stars organization work together for the good of our kids.
Annual University of Michigan Day:
The Stars will have a day at the University of Michigan for all Stars players and families which includes a U of M doubleheader, tours of the facility. autographs from the U of M players and the opportunity to have University of Michigan Head Coach Rich Maloney speak to our Stars about the importance of doing well in the classroom and what he looks for in a player.
The 16U and 17U Stars teams will also play there annual league Game at Ray Fischer Stadium at the University of Michigan.

Coach DiCristofaro is currently the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Lakeview High School. In his 4 seasons at Lakeview Coach Dicristofaro has led his teams to 1 league title, the first for Lakeview in the past 10 years and one district title which was the first in 14 years for the school. Coach DiCristofaro played his college baseball at Wayne State University as a pitcher/outfielder and was part of the first Wayne team to play in the division 2 World Series.
This team will compete in the 16U MABF A division and 3 or 4 tournaments, two of which will be the USSSA Open State and the Michigan Major Elite ( played at Eastern Michigan and U of M). The goal of this team will be to challenge the young men to play at the highest possible level and get better each pitch.
